College Street Dental accepts the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

Discover the advantages of the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

The CDCP helps make dental care more affordable and easier to access for eligible Canadians. At College Street Dental, our team is here to help you understand the CDCP coverage and make the most out of it.

What is the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?

The CDCP is a government dental program designed to help make the cost of dental care more affordable for Canadian residents without dental benefits and have a household income of less than $90,000.

The program provides coverage for a range of dental services including:

  • Dental examination and x-rays

  • Teeth cleaning

  • Fillings

  • Root canal therapy

  • Removal of teeth

  • Crowns (requires preauthorization)

Who is eligible for the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

In order to qualify for the CDCP, you must fulfill the following criteria:

  • You are a Canadian resident

  • You have filed your income tax return for the previous year

  • You do not have dental insurance

  • Your family income is less than $90,000

Note: If you have dental coverage through a government social program such as Health Smiles Ontario (HSO) or Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), you can still qualify for the CDCP.  To retain eligibility, CDCP members are required to re-enroll for the program annually.
